Peter Weniger

Peter Weniger Peter Weniger is a leading instrumentalist of the European Jazz scene. Currently living in Berlin, his sax-playing career to date includes recordings with such musicians of note as John Abercrombie, Adam Nussbaum, Conrad Herwig, Jeff Hamilton or David Liebman.
In terms of concerts and CDs, he has alson been the man behind the horn for Jasper Van't Hoff, Eddie Palmieri, David Friedman, and Billy Cobham among a slew of others.
A current Allstar Band of German jazz musicians just wouldn't be complete without his saxophone sound, not to mention that his style, modelled on such statuesque idols as Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz and Warne Marsh, receives just as much appreciation in New York as it gets in Paris or Barcelona.

His contributions to the SKIP catalog were some sensitive solos to the "Blue Summer" album of vocalist Fessler, the David Friedman project "Tambour" and his own trio album.
